When I was in Secondary School and Junior College, I remembering carrying a huge tin of sweets around wherever I went. I drank bubble tea frequently, ate a whole fried chicken in one sitting. I was living a stressful, sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle - not making time for exercise and eating junk food most of the time.
My motivation to lose weight comes mainly from vanity (to be able to wear pretty clothes), and also to fulfill a promise to my boyfriend to be more confident in my own skin.
I've struggled with my weight for what seems like a long time now, but I'm determined to make this work. I had to change my life. I looked carefully at my previous weight loss attempts to reflect on why none of these worked. In the past when I went on a diet, I severely restricted my calories so much I started binging on junk food because I get hungry ever so frequent. It was especially hard to cut out sweet and fried food in my life, because I love eating! In my efforts to be perfect, I also forced myself to exercise everyday, but none of these attempts lasted more than 2 weeks. I also tend to reward myself with fatty food to celebrate mini successes, which negated all progresses of my weight loss.
I really want this time to be different. I will not take the easy way out and place my hopes on products and diets promising fast weight loss, but rather commit myself to the good old diet-and-exercise method. With the encouragement of my boyfriend, I have also signed up for Amore Fitness to provide more variety to my exercise routine and motivate myself to persist in my weight loss efforts. I don't want to set unrealistic standards
